• Summer epics

  • OMERO 5.4.7

    • Release in a few weeks time

    • Mysterious caching bug when updating BF to 5.9 (could be

      dropped if necessary)

  • OMERO.Importer

    PR open for extending it to be able to import more than 2000 files and offering additional import options (skip thumbnail generation, etc.). (Dom)

    • Needs proper testing, so aiming for 5.4.8.

    • Also received reply from Susanne: Her extension of the

      Importer is available on Github, but currently on version 5.3.5. She’s going to rebase it to 5.4.6 in the next couple of days.

  • OMERO.Importer next up, implement logic on server to inform

    insight of import failure (Riad)

    • Chris: from experience, keep number of statuses to a minimum

  • More microservice work, including on image region and testing

    • Adding prometheus-compatible metrics to microservices

    • Testing Java 9 and 10, investigating newer garbage collector

      behaviour and options

  • All driven by need to support educational workflows, and to

    observe performance
