  • IDR 0.6.9 (last before upgrade to OMERO 5.5)

  • IDR 0.7.0: Will be released mid September

• Data-Out (UI/Search)

  • Devspace prep

  • Prep of app release, omero-parade and omero-figure this week,

    iviewer in a few weeks

  • On-going work on integration with 3rd party tools. iLastik has

    switched to Python 3.

• SA (learning/mail)

  • Mark: Unofficial, ad hoc approach removed many users from

    Virtual Microscope staging server; now running much faster but issue likely to rear its head as the academic year progresses and many students sign on. Legacy server now reporting some hardware errors. Paul pleased with UX improvements in switching to current OMERO.iviewer.

  • Paul may actively promote the server to new groups which may

    lead to an unexpectedly large increase in numbers of users

  • Mark: Checked sending to and receiving e-mail from o.org. Due to

    other priorities and coming leave could be late August before I do much more on mail migration.

  • Simon: Started work on long-overdue update/replacement of

    outreach server

  • Significant work on Parade, release is a long way off.

• Community

  • OMERO User API Workshop 30 Sep - 1 Oct Planning (Petr, Jason)

    • Interest in our workshop from Gigascience journal member

      (IDR) already expressed

    • Format:

      • Physical Rooms?

      • Desks in CTIR2, Breakout Rooms, 1-2 invited talks

        • Use Google Doc to define topics.

        • Invite all to Slack in advance

        • If we don’t book rooms we’re limited by number of

          free desks

      • Fewer presentations, more interactive topics driven by

        participants

        • Works for 1 or 2 people, if more may want a room

          with presentations instead. Need advance input from participants so can decide format of each topic.

      • General consensus: keep it informal, use desks. Limited

        to maybe 10 people? Ensure participants say what they want in advance.

  • Review openmicroscopy.org website, should we be publicising

    internal workshops so prominently?

  • Support for partners

    • Recall: Team members do ask questions. Re-ask if necessary.

  • GitHub repositories migration update

    • All Ansible roles migrated to OME GitHub org and OME Galaxy

    • Only remaining public repos on openmicroscopy organization:

      openmicroscopy, bioformats + 2 compatibility repos

      • Seb: Reviewing members in openmicroscopy organisation to

        limit access to remaining repositories
