Project Status

- IDR (Frances):
- NGFF issues on idr-testing: decided to release idr0154, idr0155 without NGFF work.
- Continue to work on NGFF for next/future release
- JM: webclient improvements (based on latest omero-web) will require infrastructure update (Django 4.2 etc)
- Frances: studies after this release are bigger
- Seb: deployment on hold at EBI
- Will: omero-web imgData json without stateful services and iviewer handling of tileloaderrors
- Khaled: ansible playbook to deploy microservices
- David: reduce memo file size to improve perf
- Now thinking how to reduce reading memo file - openBytes gets path to zarr chunks
- OMERO (JM)
- new ci is ready - will switch after Indonesia trip
- won’t copy DB etc from existing merge-ci
- Runs on Rocky9 with Postgres16
- Clients will require Java11 (Jenkins is Java11 by default)
- Andreas: 525 - Python 3.12 support
- Will: figure release
- Bio-Formats
- Next major release 8.0.0 - possibly smaller bug-fixes into earlier patch releases.
- Chunk API - revive previous work. Useful for large 3D images
- Melissa - Java 21 testing this week.

- GerBI community meeting next week - will discuss Data Management etc.

- checking dependencies stack on JDBC: no concern
- Seb: see omero.model draft PR to upgrade driver
- single sign-on: discussing requirements of the tech stack
- JM: docs update to use Postgres 15 (recommended)
- Seb: Python 3.12 testing - web apps etc.
