  • ongoing conversion of data to Zarr v3
  • Meeting with EBI
  • IDR support for Zarr v3 in omero-zarr-pixel-buffer. Scheduled for inclusion in OMERO.5.7.0.
  • Seb: not in next quarter (next couple of months). Likely last quarter of 2026.
  • Let’s have a call in the next couple of weeks.
  • Frances: Would like to have zarr v3 support in next couple of months.
• OMERO (Seb)
  • OMERO.web 5.33.1 security release
    • image.sc announcement for September 9th
    • Security process codification in the contributing documentation PR open.
  • OME-Zarr support (Seb)
    • omero-zarr-pixel-buffer 0.7.0-rc3 Glencoe testing
      • HCS, non-HCS, label images stored as OME-Zarr 0.4 & 0.5 datasets
      • file storage, object storage (AWS S3, GCP) both anonymous and authenticated
      • various Zarr layouts/scenarios (dimensions, compression, chunk/shard sizes, missing chunks, special characters)
      • Testing looking good. Getting closer to release. Minor: trailing / handling.
    • Don’t intend to support omero-zarr-pixel-buffer AND ZarrReader installed together. Dependencies tricky.
  • Petr: Certificates updated for openmicroscopy.org. Valid till 22nd Oct
    • Chris: certs will need updating in ever-shorter periods. Need to automate this process.
